If you're following an order
Notice for customers of businesses that use Aftermade · version 1.0 · 29 October 2026
A business you ordered from uses Aftermade to show you how your order is being made and where it is. That business is responsible for your personal data (it is the "controller"). Aftermade provides the service and handles your data only on the business's instructions (we are its "processor").
What the business may hold about you
This depends on the business, but usually includes:
- your first and last name, email address and phone number
- what you ordered and its specification (for example, size or an engraving)
- notes about your order
- photographs of your item taken in the workshop
- the town and country it is being delivered to, with the carrier's tracking details
- a record of the emails it sent you about your order
What your order page shows, and to whom
Your page is private: anyone with the link can open it, so please don't share it. It shows only your first name, your order number, the steps and photos the business chose to share, and the delivery progress. It never shows your email, phone number, surname, address or the business's internal notes. Search engines are told not to list it.
What happens when you open it
- The business can see when you visited the page, and whether you opened the parcel tracking link or saved your certificate. Nothing else about your device or location is recorded.
- To stop abuse, we keep a one-way scrambled form of your network address for up to 24 hours. It can't be turned back into your address.
- If something on the page breaks, an error report is sent to our error service with your personal details removed.
- Nothing is stored in your browser, and there are no tracking cookies.
Your rights
You can ask the business for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to erase it. The business can do this directly in Aftermade, and its contact details are at the bottom of your order page. If you write to us instead, at hello@aftermade.app, we will pass your request to the business and help it respond. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie) or the authority where you live.
More detail
How Aftermade itself handles data, including our providers and transfers, is in our privacy policy and sub-processors list.
